Stonehenge was
built by the ancient peoples of our land, several thousand years ago. The
monument played a very significant part in their lives, being used for
social and religious gatherings.More
recently the stones have seen a revival of celebrations taking place, and
the circle is once more a living monument. In
1985 the modern free festival was stopped, in a now famous violent
confrontation.This
work is dedicated to those who wish to see the circle remain a gathering
place of the people, rather than having it put away in a glass case as
an archeological exhibit.
May the spirit never die.
